Cape Ongazaki, Ishigaki

4.1
Take a scenic drive to Cape Ongazaki for sweeping views of the ocean and dramatic rocky outcrops below. Stroll around this picturesque natural area, viewing small sandy beaches dotted up the coast and the lighthouse standing tall on the point. In May, lily flowers appear here, adding to the local beauty. Be warned that it can get very windy; on a calm day, however, it makes a pretty picnicking spot. • In the plan the day before arrived in Ishigaki-jima, on this day to go around the island by rental car day first came here. Nagura had to stay very close location. Was still in the morning and it was the off-season not us, yet tourists who never did. Near the lighthouse in very good location. Lighthouse beauty, the beauty of the azure waters of the feelings becomes refreshing. I think that the place to go to watch the sunset at the western end of the island to say so.

  • The place is west and the sunset is very beautiful. In addition to the sunset scene, there are different plant scenery on the stage added together, to weave a very beautiful picture, love to shoot people must go. To play a taxi (taxi).

  • Immediately after the typhoon hit Sun clearly visible still dyed purple clouds, the sunset was beautiful. I was surprised at the strength size of waves from the cliffs overlooking. White surf was like I'm bubbling. Gale was flown by luggage and ourselves, did take care not to fall. I think very good stone tablets and lighthouses, to enjoy the scenery. Better if you can't come and have no car, no shops around the place, so while waiting for sunset, did prepare refreshments may be better. Trash is a take-home. Note it is so because few street lights and darkening road is pretty dark and hard to walk.

Where to stay in Ishigaki

The greatest abundance of accommodations on Ishigaki sit in the city of the same name. Lining the island's south coast, a number of high-rise hotels and resort-style options provide standard to luxury rooms and additional facilities, including restaurants, spas, and pools. Budget-conscious travelers will want to check out the "minshukus" (hostels with private and dormitory-style rooms), generally located in the city, but on streets further back from the sea. The northern coast of the island has its fair share of accommodations too, following the same rules as the south, but without the same breadth of choice.
