Cape Hirakubozaki, Ishigaki

4.3
#1 of 28 in Sightseeing in Ishigaki
Lighthouse Outdoor Activity
Situated on a vast pastureland where farm life blossoms, Cape Hirakubozaki offers plenty of space for relaxed exploration. Roam the surrounding hills where you can sit down, take a break, and have a picnic. If you arrive at the cape via car (preferably with four-wheel drive), take the dirt roads to uncover pristine parts of nature where people rarely venture. Thanks to the abundant tame animal life here, you can observe and interact with passing horses and cows, or go fishing in the bountiful sea. The area usually gets very busy during the day, so expect scarce free parking spaces. If here at the end of the day, head to the solitary white lighthouse at the tip for expansive views of the setting sun. • Anyway amazing colors of the sea. Shades of blue is very beautiful. It is useful because sunglasses sunny days is recommended, but sunshine is strong. Pretty white lighthouse. On the back of the lighthouse, climb on the Rocky Mountain front. You'd better walk good Footwear.

  • Ishigaki northernmost bit on edge of waiting is hard, but lose the words is great. Not this feature in other gradient-rich coastline. It is like to go by all means.

  • We hired a car and stopped off at all the major view points. The landscape is beautiful and there is a nice big rock you can climb up for a better view  more »

Where to stay in Ishigaki

The greatest abundance of accommodations on Ishigaki sit in the city of the same name. Lining the island's south coast, a number of high-rise hotels and resort-style options provide standard to luxury rooms and additional facilities, including restaurants, spas, and pools. Budget-conscious travelers will want to check out the "minshukus" (hostels with private and dormitory-style rooms), generally located in the city, but on streets further back from the sea. The northern coast of the island has its fair share of accommodations too, following the same rules as the south, but without the same breadth of choice.
