4.4
#5 of 19 in Historic Sites in Ise
Religious Site Tourist Spot
Sarutahiko Shrine is renowned as a "power spot," affording visitors luck and good fortune with new endeavors. Deified at this Shinto temple is the Sarutahiko Okami, the leader of the earthly kami, seen as a symbol of strength and guidance. In front of the main structure, look out for "Kodenchi," an octagonal pillar which, according to legend, bestows upon you various kinds of blessings when you lay your hands on it. You can expect this point to be fairly busy every day. Our Ise family vacation planner makes visiting Sarutahiko Shrine and other Ise attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
