Hitachi Seaside Park, Hitachinaka

(4.4/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy a stroll through vast fields of vibrant flowers at Hitachi Seaside Park. The park offers plenty of variety all year round, with the seasonal flowers changing providing a wide range of colors. Daffodils paint the fields yellow in early spring, while the baby blue colored nemophilla sprawl across the hillside shortly after. In the autumn you’ll spot fields of red kochia and will be able to walk across the aged leaves of metasequoia. Rent a bike to get around the large park and see all that it has to offer, or take a ride on the ferris wheel for panoramic photo opportunities. • We went towards the end of the carnival period (late October) and it was absolutely stunning! It was a special free entry day, so we were surprised with the local primary school kids having a public c...  more »
  • 絕對是適合全家人一起去的地方,除了ㄧ年四季有不同的花,還有夏季開放的海灘,遊樂場,可以待上一整天。附近還有shopping mall,交通也便利。
  • Nemophila, Kochia, Cosmos, roses, daffodils, Hellebore, seasonal change, and many flowers can enjoy. Among my Tulips are nice. There are not rich and I saw that kind of a lot. Also go in April this year. Ice cream Tulips are blooming during the winter season, so come check out

  • Finally had the chance to visit this park after seeing it on all sorts of lists of must visit places in the world. It definitely didn't disappoint. The highlight was obviously the red kochia hills. However, the other flower fields nearby were a nice pleasant surprise including the cosmos. The park is also relatively large and contains one giant open field, a mini theme park, and even a disc golf course. Entrance fee was a reasonable 410yen per adult. Only challenge is getting here as there are no reliable trains so we ended up renting a car. Overall, amazing day trip from Tokyo especially in mid October for the kochia or sometime in the spring for nemophilia. Great for both dogs and kids!
  • We were there this year at the second week of october. We saw posters everywhere with the picture of the kochia flower in vivid red, but we were a little disappointed to see that most of the flowers not yet turned to red, although it supposed to the time to visit if you want to see the change of colors. All in all, it was fun experience, the pak is huge, and there are attractions for kids and a ferris wheel.
  • Just Awesome! The red kochia transformed the hill into red during the October season. It's best to view the red Kochia normally during the 3rd week in October. Best time to go during 1st week of May for Nemophilias too where the while hill is in blue.
  • The place is excellent for family people to take the kids on their own or with friends and other families to join got trip and day out together. It's very close to Costco ro pop around for food. The attractions are very good and not too expensive, bit if you ade staying whole day might be better to pay for a day pass. The place is really large and has a lot trees and field areas for picking if you prefer bento perhaps made in home. Also they offer bicycles for hire and they have seats for all ages and sizes if the kids are too small and can't ride yet. The entry fee is ¥ 410 per adult and children over 6 years, the one under that age go for free. However everyone needs to pay for the fun fair rides ☺.
