  • Here is the place became famous, and was recently featured as a "spot". Chiaki Mukai of Japan's first female astronaut to see pillar of light from the universe and find out the place was in the mountains of Hitachi and Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 Moonwalk was shines on the Earth where there is determine the latitude and longitude to Japan, came to iwagami, said priest who, like theories there. Increases the target point both formal informative, without the degree of the truth is not clear your Rocky Mountain region had been at the sanctuary and as for Mito kunimine (sacred mountain), and Shinto Shinto and Buddhism as the faith of the one rebuilt in a shrine, 188 pillars (the unit of counting God's 'pillars'), and enshrines the respect is quite a "blessing" for this. Therefore, here you can pray God most. Iwagami's itself can visit in about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot, so less than 30 minutes is fine if we, sacred mountains, which has put out the pillar of light in the universe (and is said) we recommend the courses to your rock. (Look relaxed about two hours) is so steep because it becomes shape such as hiking, shoes etc. for what we please. And because there are many God not have some "pennies" and "shall be-, and here I" such as users often forbid decision to leave. That is OK because I never would have looked well and truly God is "all", so some in the amount of donations and extreme change. Look on the net seems a lot of thoughts "was ever made in the most sacred feelings" or "shreds came feel healed". Has done plenty personally to the shrine and the mountain, that there was no "special section" impression "common good Institute ' was. (Also would want to come and as such has many other) do not want change because I think because it is still a tourist destination outside of variety and some inconvenience, but there is charm in one of now... and I think.

  • It's atmosphere is very mysterious. The air was so clear and some trees have myth. It is also said that here is one of the oldest shrine in Japan. There're also beautiful green moss. Backyard from the shrine, there are path which leads to top of the mountain.
  • I am relieved that come here. There is rock climbing in a playful is not. I'm climbing to skirt are seen here and there, but do not have water or not. Take in a decently dressed. Rather than approach, is a steep mountain trail.

  • It is a wilderness shrine Shinto remains. Izumo and ISE and a different atmosphere, cozy it is second to none. From the main shrine is recommended for trekking to the "kabire shrine" in the back. 560 yen (one way) is the local bus from Hitachi station. I think if you go by train or by bus from Tokyo to go good train high speed bus and return. Fantastic touch day (free) If you offer when you get off at high speed bus, iwagami's can be reached at 100 yen each way. Right or wrong.

  • Great natural cedar, Moss, water, etc. Of the Tokugawa family. Your Rocky Mountain is a place we'd climb the steep ascent to the Summit because light is not recommended.
