Where to stay in Hiroshima

The majority of places to stay in Hiroshima concentrate in the areas surrounding the train station, the memorial museum and park, and a couple of main boulevards. Here you can find basic, comfortable, and clean hostels, dozens of mid-range business hotels, and a couple of pricier four- and five-star international chains, all of which offer easy access to any of the sights in this compact city. For an adventurous and very affordable overnight stay in Hiroshima, you can even sleep in private pods attached to the train station's south side.

  • Free to enter. Exhibition of photos and met the curator. Story is that none of the staff survived but the money did and bank reopened a couple of days after the bomb. Can go in side the vault too. Wor...  more »
