Where to stay in Hirosaki

Though the urban sprawl of Hirosaki goes on for quite a way, the center of town where the accommodations can be found remains fairly meager. Next to the main train station, you'll find a set of standard, high-rise hotels, with some offering a few more facilities than others, including spas, pools, and restaurants. Look to the northwest for the more traditional establishments. Next to the castle and the park of cherry blossoms that surrounds it, the accommodations include some charmingly decorated "ryokan" (traditional guesthouses), and a couple of boutiques.
