Theme Park Zoo / Aquarium
Spend the day on a host of rides and attractions at Hirakata Park, the oldest amusement park in the region. Adrenaline junkies will relish the excitement and speed of the site's Red Falcon rollercoaster as it whips around 1,300 m (4,265 ft) of track at a maximum speed of 70 kph (43 mph), while younger kids can enjoy the slightly tamer wooden rollercoaster, ferris wheel, swing rides, and petting zoo. Depending on when you visit, you can take advantage of the seasonal attractions, with swimming pools available in the summer, and ice rinks and the park's "Snow Land" open during the colder months. • Hirakata Park is a great place to spend a day. We went there with our two children, aged 7 and 12, and had one of the best theme park experiences ever. Fees to get in were much cheaper than Universal ...  more »
  • We've been to Hirakata Park twice and had fun both times. Admission is about 1200 yen per person, more if you want some rides included. We did the Ferris wheel, which is 500 per person, once around. N...  more »

  • If you are with kids at Osaka, you MUST go here. It is such a fun amusement park and definitely worth the day pass money. Employees are very friendly, always smiling and they start the rides once there is someone! No need to wait for more people. The scenery is nice and the park is a very good size, you can spend one whole day here. My children really enjoyed the day. So did I. Even though it's a little bit far away from the city, it's a must go if you have kids.
  • 10 minutes by train from Kyobashi. Great fun for the family! Remember to buy the Free Pass. Lots of slope and stairs, may not be ideal for the elderly.
  • This amusement park is really fun and it has lots of enjoyable rides which are suitable for all ages. This park is also gargantuan. The employees are amiable and friendly.
  • Lots of rides, the waits aren't too bad. Most of the rides are very child oriented.
  • Too expensive. I came to ride rides and see the dragon quest museum (which was pretty cool, admittedly). However, right away I realized the museum wasn't included with park admission. Okay, fair enough, I paid for park and museum admission which was about ¥3000 (or $30 USD). But what I didn't realize was that you have to pay for every single ride individually. So why do they charge ¥1400 for park admission when the rides each cost around ¥400-¥500 ($4-5)??? It's a total ripoff. You shouldn't have to pay park admission plus the cost of each ride. I wouldn't mind if park admission alone was around ¥3500 if it meant you didn't need to pay for each ride. If you have to pay for every single ride, admission to the park should be free, or at least less than ¥500. Don't plan on coming again. For the amount of money you spend here, you could go to a bigger and better amusement park.
