Choose from three hiking trails taking different routes to the summit, the longest of which offers the most scenic views and takes a couple of hours to complete. You can also take the ropeway lift to a certain point near the peak, and enjoy the scenery from the air along the way. Trek through primeval forest and see various plants and rock formations, or pay a visit to the observatory on the summit for panoramic views of the sea, and even Hiroshima on a clear day. • Miyajima Island for the second time. This rise in Misen! Upholstery and Mt. Misen in the "maybe", "will", without too much advance research was cut to. It was a failure. First, one was of place of origin of the ropeway, momijidani station. Here is surprisingly far. Itsukushima Shrine walking reasonably. Very crowded bus station is in 20-minute intervals, and then wait for about the same time. In the ropeway ride is good, but the second one stumble, ropeway transfers in. Threw smoothly along the way until the station 榧谷 station 1 minute intervals so the ropeway following a 15-minute interval, and. The momijidani station arrived. Thought that from here to reach Mt. Misen is the third stumble. Walked leisurely looking at Middle Temple, but quite climbs from there, bad feet. Wonder took more than 30 minutes to the top of Mt. Misen gradually, the return time becomes feel (sweat). Also attached ropeway return 15-minute interval for the previously scheduled boat ride for the trot nice coule. Stumble upon the fourth is up and down until the momijidani station. Do not climb down once to go to Mt. Misen red leaf valley station, and then again. This fine home. End equal to the trail running situation. When I arrived at the momijidani station, breath was up completely. Perhaps somehow miss the mercenary ship, but the sightseeing result Bureau of Misen seems missing in three hours. If you see after the site of Miyajima ropeway, ropeway from at one time, to the mountain top, and had another hour. Put a round up the aerial tramway, here three hours. Who wants to travel slowly, using a ropeway at least four hours required felt. If you climb on foot would be day-long. It came up Mt. Misen, we don't panic so please in schedule with room to spare-.

  • Moderate hike up to the summit for an amazing view. Takes about 90 minutes to walk from the base. Clear signs guiding you along the way to the summit. The path along the way is well constructed so you don’t have to worry about have hiking equipment. At the summit there’s rest spots and vending machines for you to recharge. The scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended to take the trek up the mont to enjoy the scenery and he view at the summit. Be sure to Time your trek up so you down miss the last cable car down to the base. Wouldn’t recommend trekking down when it’s sundown as the path isn’t very well lit.
  • Worth the hike up. We left at 7:30am and the trail was empty and no tourists at the top as the ropeway doesn't start til 9am. It was great even on am overcast day! Took us 70 mins to the top at a steady pace, trail was well marked and maintained.
  • They have a gondola available for those who wish to go up the mountain without the hastle of hiking up. The view is fantastic where you are able to see many of the islands surrounding Miajima. Personally taking the hike down was worth it. There were many beautiful views and many temples to see on the way down. Truly a wonderful experience.
  • Scenery is beautiful :) for people who isn't physically capable of hiking for hours, you may take cable car to almost top of the mountain and start to hike from the cable car station.
  • Beautiful place for a days visit. We took cable car for the way up and came down from Daishoin trail. Wonderful experience to walk down among the nature
