  • It is a place worth visiting. Already the arrival by ferry is very distinctive, with Torii in the middle of the sea that you approach slowly. The island is nice and quiet, even here there are deer in the wild. We were only half day (we have combined the afternoon in Hiroshima that has close access to Miyajima), but those with more time can spend the entire day.

  • Definitely a must to visit if you are in Hiroshima. Just a short ferry ride from JR Miyajima-guchi station. Very easy to access. The island has a shopping/food street where you can schedule to have a ...  more »
  • Buy yourself a large bottle of the local soy sauce, it's awesome. You also need to try the local beer. Miyajima is touristy but still quaint.
