Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, Hakui

(4.4/5 based on 340 reviews on the web)
Take a ride along Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, a sandy beach that acts as a seaside road for bikes, cars, and buses. Because the sand here has a smaller than average diameter, rainwater easily passes through into its deeper layers, allowing it to compact tightly together. This creates a surface suitable for automobiles, and the thrill of riding, driving, and touring right by the sea attracts locals and tourists alike. Stop off for some swimming, a little beachcombing, and some local specialities, including grilled clams cooked on beach barbecues. Plan to visit Chirihama Nagisa Driveway and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Hakui attractions using our Hakui family vacation planner.

  • Japan Sea in February was willing and I wanted to travel once the driver in rough wind and waves are strongly under the influence of the low pressure. However, the car stuck in the mud and can't get out of the sand he was so please be aware and terrible when it rains during namiuchi, Autoroute du Soleil.

  • We went there in the winter, and frankly, even if the driveway is very long, very wide and very nice... I can't, for this time of year (December 2016), recommended this place so it is more akin to a dump at a beach. I don't know if it's the sea that rejects all this rubbish, but this is sick at heart. We ran into very few cars, this makes the fun ride, but we have not done the driveway in full... it was way too salty. Damage

  • Run the Japan only Sandy is rare. That awareness is on TripAdvisor travelers overseas popularity from hearing testimonies. When you sand the rough weather and large impassable, lynching, so care is required. Honestly I felt that was way in the winter time, but still like running in the summer. Gotta think was parked cars, like playing on the beach.
