  • ASHI-Museum of art located halfway up a mountain climbed about 10 minutes by car from Taoyuan units around the Lake. Recommended to those who like impressionism. When I visited I was doing Redon exhibition. Fujita tsuguharu had exhibited together in my work, especially when it is so fond of the series. A sketch of the Renoir style drew tsuguharu Fujita, Matisse, Picasso, etc. I can laugh. Stylish restaurant (lunch £ 2,500 prize) can rest properly, and the Café (flavored tea ¥ 640), shop and. If you just look at rushing the exhibition 1 time, large garden on the outside? Woods? Also, slowly watching the exhibition until tea and lunch, take a walk enjoying interference should one day relax in luxury.

  • Hakone autumn is 11 months, so not seen still leaves around the Pola Museum of art, but I see "Redon exhibition" that can be had. And of course there were great pictures such as Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, SE Sanne Redon is also see Fujita tsuguharu works of a considerable number, and tsuguharu Fujita corner, this as I was able. Fujita tsuguharu exhibition 7/31-so couldn't the line finally thought 10/8 was held at Tokyo Museum of art and is exhibited in the Pola Museum of art this has that feel like you got something you can see pieces that was. Can buy also 箋 Fujita tsuguharu works exactly, are sold at the shop and Wisteria rice field, clinical work, happy and come back better made. I mentioned last time, is going by car this Museum, taken up a parking fee 500 yen. In other art museum in Hakone parking fees are paid at other have heard must also got the admission fee ¥ 1800 was ¥ 1600 senior charged with parking charges taken by ¥ 500 and "it may be free..." I feel it's only what...? However, this time I was very good was photos OK corner was pretty. Photos OK is pretty, such as the National Museum of Western art, Tokyo National Museum exhibit, so no pictures OK, as exhibited in the Pola Museum of Manet, Renoir, Monet, shank, a. Cross, Pascin, Mathis, Rousseau, Able to govern works of Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezanne and Kuroda Seiki, Galle, Tiffany glass, including all photos.

  • We had our own car, so not a problem for us, but the Pola is a bit out of the way and I'm not sure how you get here without your own transport unless you are on a guided tour. The actual art display area itself is not that large, though there were some very fine pieces in the special exhibitions that were on when we visited: Masterpieces of Western Painting, and an Emile Gallé "Collecting Nature" glass collection. Wonderful stuff. We didn't have time to do the nature walk through the museum's grounds but I imagine that would be a very pleasant stroll. The building itself is pretty impressive and on a grand scale. Must have cost a fortune to build, but I guess the Pola corporation has the money to invest in it's social responsibility budget. I did just walk away with an odd feeling that the display areas themselves were rather overshadowed by a lot of empty design space. Anyway, judge it for yourself.
  • I really enjoyed my time here. It was a cold, misty morning so while waiting for the weather to clear we spent a few hours here. I'm not really an art buff, but the quality of the pieces here really blew me away. Well worth the price of admission.
  • If looking at a bunch of old glassware isn't your cup of tea, avoid this museum at all costs. Some Monet paintings and the small Japanese gallery were the only 'highlights'. Very overpriced too for what it is. Each to their own.
  • I never expected to see anything like this in Hakone, I really suggest you to go if you interested in Western European art.
  • Incredible to find a world class institution on the lonely road. We had had our fill of black eggs and pirate-themed lake cruises and this was a very welcome change of pace.
