  • Good collection of ceramics from Japan, China and Korea. Japanese paintings and "Ukiyo-e" are lined with famous artists and they are really "must-see."  more »
  • Okada Museum has a huge porcelain collection that can take up a whole morning or afternoon. I am not very knowledgeable in the field, but I could enjoy the exhibition. However, it was a bit too much i...  more »
  • It was my second visit. There is a security check at the airport level at the entrance, and the cell phone is prohibited, but it is not possible to contact it when going in a large house by several people and straying, and it research while seeing the exhibit, and, therefore, I want you to reconsider it. Because there is not one staff in the building, it will save the trouble of the shooting crackdown, but there is no right problem because it is all collections in the first place, what is the intention to prohibit photography? and doubts. It is an exhibition of the main subject, but the Haniwa and the platter without the defect at all are overwhelmed line like never seen from the beginning. After the second floor (all five floors) There are many famous artists exhibiting works, but the owners were forced to exhibit their favorite items on the theme and did not come to the end. At the time of the first visit, there was a ostensibly to see the snow in Fukagawa which had not been held yet, but the exhibition was reproduced in a reduced version and the homepage does not have the description with the reproduction product. It is worth the high admission fee, such as great facilities and giant murals is a museum that remains.

  • An expensive museum but worth it. The 2 floors of several centuries of Japanese painting was enough to satisfy me. You can get a tea or coffee and enjoy the warm foot bath. It is a treat after several hours of walking.
  • Really really beautiful. Expensive to get there but well worth it! I didn't even get the chance to finish everything I wanted to do because it was closing, but I can imagine that it would've been even greater. Almost got tears in my eyes from some of the art
  • We thought this was an amazing collection of Japanese paintings. The paintings are our favorite, so this is why we give it so many stars. They had other pieces but for me the paintings were the stars. Worth the visit.
  • Beautiful exhibition with superb Ceramics and art! Really well presented and with some English explanation. Hakone free pass give you small discount. only high school students get the reduced price. Nice footbath. Disappointing that garden is not included in the ticket.
  • Outstanding museum perfectly designed for visitors to enjoy Okada’s spectacular collection
