4.0
#1 of 13 in Wildlife in Kanagawa Prefecture
Inspect a wealth of vibrant and colorful flowers at Hakone Shisseikaen. Set in the picturesque highlands of Fuji Hakone Izu National Park, the gardens exhibit over 1700 varieties of marsh and alpine species native to the country. Wander along boardwalk paths through an array of marshlands, and learn about the plants that thrive in these wetland areas, with signage in both English and Japanese. Look out for the bloom of the Nikko Kisuge (Daylily), a seasonal highlight during June, making it one of the busiest times of the year to visit the gardens. • In October I visited. It's purple blue ivashdine and hamalaccheou stood out at this time. I think giving a glimpse of Arum was so beautiful in the spring flowers. I think the little flowers of Plateau wetlands, but there is a winter season and the announcement from spring until fall and look forward to this encounter. I think admission is ¥ 700 but like flowers nature if you like half a day and not get bored. Children and elderly is safe because it had paved the way. I thought next time I visit in the spring.

  • Through well ago that for many years come Park. All around drinking tea, eating soft serve ice cream, the rest stay in over an hour. Along with the flowers just moisture in a pretty nice location, many kinds of various scenes of the water visible. 10 types of butterflies flying eye is healed. There is an incomparable hillside in Hakone, the Summit also looks further. Places where great here just like time had stopped. Take 3 hours stay about even better feel.

  • Had lunch and then went to Hakone of wetlands to explore! I felt there Sun umbrella at the entrance, is amazing. Outpace the Sun with an umbrella while watching the flowers and landscape around and healed, but summers are hot. There's shade and Sun's majority. Types of flowers are below average summer.

Where to stay in Hakone-machi

A getaway close to the capital, Hakone-machi offers a good range of accommodations, with a particular emphasis on luxury and upmarket hotels. Spa resort-style hotels, often with extensive views of the iconic volcano, sit in the main tourist areas, with their spa facilities using naturally warmed waters from the hot springs around the area. The more densely populated areas to the east house a good number of simple guesthouses and hostels. Staying in Tokyo and taking day trips remains an option for many visitors.
