  • Definitely worth a visit for the Picasso exhibition alone. But a lovely venue to see some wonderful art. We would have stayed longer than an hour and a half but needed to get around the Hakone circuit...  read more »
  • I found the combination between art and nature very interesting and make a great afternoon for me and my wide The only pro i fpund is that they dont accept credit card
  • If you want to enjoy this museum, you have to spend at least 2 hours exploring the Picasso gallery, the sculpture, the park, the cafe, and foot bath.
  • This museum is a hidden gem, with amazingly large scale sculptures and artworks. It calms my soul as I strolled through the museum. I am not a artsy person but I find many artworks and displayed in this museum very interesting. The gift shops have very cute gifts and souvenirs. The Picasso gallery is also very interesting. Overall, this place is worth the visit if you are in Hakone.
  • Puts every other art museum to shame! Immensely enjoyable stroll, even when it is quite crowded. Absolutely breathtaking scenery mixed with the artwork. Personally, I find Picasso overrated so the exhibit was wasted on me, but it is quite a vast collection with lots of information available.
  • The open air museum makes for delightful stroll outdoors even during the winter. It's like a park track dotted with fascinating statues and a great Picasso collection museum along the way.
  • Stunning outdoor museum with extraordinary sculptures. MUST SEE in Hakone. Some interactive sculptures for kids to climb into. Great Picasso building. Especially stunning in fall when the entire collection is enveloped in fiery fall colors. It is ALLL outdoors except Picasso so bring an umbrella if it's raining!
  • Yes. Good choice. Go here. You will love it. Unless you hate sculptures. Or don't like strolling through Edenic settings where awesome sculptures will be like BOOM! here's some art in yo face.
