  • Special Exhibition: the three largest and a meaningful one day after watching the gathering saw one volume and price came to the foot, but visitors will be free foot, so good.

  • Hakone has many museums, Museum of fine arts. She had heard the name of art, and 2,800 yen admission fee, and no odd charges. We had plans, but hesitated to go stay at the hotel kowakien took advantage. And China porcelain frequently collected it. In particular, the bronzes of the Shang dynasty era was awesome. Is not be praised too much spin on the escalator up to 5 floor line commensurate with the price (but a little higher) and the Museum of fine arts. Found out and Fujin & Raijin folding screen painting was from the foot. Summer afternoon not obscured in a tent, so be prepared.

  • Stunning! A must see if visiting the Hakone region. Make sure to eat at the onsite cafe in the garden.
  • Huge private museum with very extensive collection of Asian art. Very impressive.
  • Best museum of its kind I have seen.
  • The biggest art museum in Kanagawa prefecture. Has a brilliant collection of Oriental art.
  • Below expectations. It costs 2800yen and it's very well advertised but it's not worth

Where to stay in Hakone-machi

A getaway close to the capital, Hakone-machi offers a good range of accommodations, with a particular emphasis on luxury and upmarket hotels. Spa resort-style hotels, often with extensive views of the iconic volcano, sit in the main tourist areas, with their spa facilities using naturally warmed waters from the hot springs around the area. The more densely populated areas to the east house a good number of simple guesthouses and hostels. Staying in Tokyo and taking day trips remains an option for many visitors.
