  • Higher than Kyoto countries, exhibition admission fees, higher than rubles higher than the Tokyo National Museum, the national treasure. Gotta go to the heart of the mountains of Hakone. That said, don't feel, don't if you think high and said that far if you think and feel. And don't trust you guys, from the first camera, Smartphone or locker deposit, said. Personal collection of art, what would I want? I want to share the pleasure to watch? So open the profit be?

  • Stunning! A must see if visiting the Hakone region. Make sure to eat at the onsite cafe in the garden.
  • Huge private museum with very extensive collection of Asian art. Very impressive.
  • Best museum of its kind I have seen.
  • The biggest art museum in Kanagawa prefecture. Has a brilliant collection of Oriental art.
  • Below expectations. It costs 2800yen and it's very well advertised but it's not worth

Where to stay in Hakone-machi

A getaway close to the capital, Hakone-machi offers a good range of accommodations, with a particular emphasis on luxury and upmarket hotels. Spa resort-style hotels, often with extensive views of the iconic volcano, sit in the main tourist areas, with their spa facilities using naturally warmed waters from the hot springs around the area. The more densely populated areas to the east house a good number of simple guesthouses and hostels. Staying in Tokyo and taking day trips remains an option for many visitors.
