  • Lots of yummy food! I love walking around markets eating, I love seafood and I love Japanese food so it's perfect for me. It's not anywhere near as manic as say Tsukiji market in Tokyo, so you can really take your time having a relaxing stroll round enjoying the sights, sounds, smells and tastes.
  • I went there around 10am. There are still alot to see and buy. There are the indoor and outdoor section. We tried a crab and tuna Don at around 1000 Yen because the 2nd floor 500 Yen place is sold out. The food is good and fresh. We tried a crab Mantou and it was nice too
  • A VERY nice place to visit. DO NOT miss out this wonderful market. There are a lot of stalls selling LIVE seafood. You can eat on the spot upon ordering. Seafood pricing is reasonable compared to Sapporo. MUST eat seafood at Morning Market!!! MUST eat seafood at Morning Market!!! MUST eat seafood at Morning Market!!!
  • good variety of seafood! the squid fishing is a highlight, kids love it. should also try the extremely juicy and sweet honeydew, buy the most expensive one to feel the difference! hint: dont use the spoon, just chew on it :D
  • One of the best things to do in Hakodate. Went at 9am and spend a nice time strolling around all the different shops. In additions to seafood and fish they also have nice vegetables.
