From Higashi-Hagi station is about 20 minutes on foot. Want to recommend visitors walked the Middle Shoin-Jinja and Itoh h. sentences former townhouse, because Hagi-yaki pottery as well as to its destination, weather permitting. Admission fee is 300 yen. Here is and the temple was established in 1691, third Lord Mōri Yoshinari Mori family. Giant Mikado appear and pass through the main gate were painted red. Wood discolored black tea with its heavy feel the weight of history. And the main gate of the temple, Mikado, Bell, 大雄宝殿 (main building), was built over 300 years ago both the nationally specified; The highlights include the tombs of the Lords of behind the main hall. Other than the elder statesman who presented more than 500 Stone lanterns are a spectacular sight, somewhere scary to remember. Never seen such scenery in Japan. Hagi highlights are very famous felt is most interesting, I think not, but this visit. Is not to be missed.

Temple-temple-Tomb until uphill, is okay because there are little bumps near the temple entrance. I walk slowly from the gate while feeling like Temple, Tomb still recommended. Is visited in the summer season it was solemn, cicada's voice is also to visit.

Must-see buildings 300 years ago as the Edo period from now on heritage grounds. Main gate, Mikado, Bell Tower, 大雄宝殿 4 buildings is an important cultural asset. As Mr. Mori's mausoleum, and Hagi Lord Mōri homes crypt is registered as a historic site. From the world heritage site of Shoin-Jinja as come so close!

Where to stay in Hagi

The old castle town of Hagi has a number of particularly characterful accommodations in its historic center. Primarily located next to the river as it works its way inland, the options here include traditional ryokans with Japanese-style rooms and onsite onsens. Look farther out from the historic core for the budget-friendly options, including a couple of hostels and some standard hotels--here you'll have basic amenities, but great access to the main sights of this small town.
