  • From sightseeing on a whirlwind tour both use the ropeway. Castle is not old, but during exhibitions so rich and the views from the top floor (did not have so much armor, helmet and sword), and were the highest.

  • Good Walker trail horse short course that climbed to. Did 30 minutes it's just very memorable now. I think the better prepared is more safe.

  • The Gifu castle is relatively small, and as most of the castles in Japan is a museum inside, i.e., there's an exhibition of old goods, clothes, arming and weapons inside. Getting to the top, you'll be...  more »

  • A castle in a dream of a location. Some of the best views of any castle anywhere from the top floor. The paths to the castle are wooded and several red bridges are used to access the castle. the stone wall is impressive and the armaments and authentic armor are beautiful pieces truly worth seeing. Both the journey and the destination in this case are worth it. The staff of the on site store are quite nice. Make certain to keep your ticket on you as it does not need to just be checked once. Each building needs to cut a piece off the ticket.
  • Fantastic view The trails to and from are stiff, make sure to have good walking shoes. The castle is cute from outside not really worth the visit for itself but rather for the view and escape from the city.
  • The best thing is taking the cable car; try to walk to the castle is too tired. Maybe visit in the winter is not the better choice.
  • Small generic castle really and the exhibits aren't much more enlightening than where you'd find elsewhere except for a greater focus on Nobunaga Oda. However what makes this castle such a joy is the panoramic views you get from the top, allowing you to see as far as neighbouring Nagoya and see the urban sprawl covering every bit of flat land in the area. Recommended.
  • Castle is not that much to see. The main attraction is the view from top of the hill I.e. castle and ropeway. Very nice view. JR Takashimaya tower is visible from there, while other side many mountains.
