  • But worth it! At the top you get the best view of Gero onsen town. A nice temple with a nice history. In the 1200s Gero had an earthquake which stopped the flow of onsen waters. Legend has it that a w...  more »
  • Climb the long stairs from the spa town. If you go by car to the back of the temple parking lot. Attraction is perceptible in the temple, but the views of Gero.

  • Hike to the top is a small sacred Temple. Good shots. Views below. People do not follow the crowd.

  • The foot is often stopped. Offers good vantage point is especially promising. Vouchers will go directly in the car, so watch out. It would be good because parking is less crowded as expected if you walk from the parking lot of another. Nokyo-sho.

  • Who dislike there are 173 stairs, stairs is a bit circuitous detours. Cherry blossoms in spring are nice, but is the recommended fall foliage lit up.
