Ningle Terrace, Furano

#1 of 29 in Things to do in Furano
Landmark Tourist Spot
Pop into the quaint little cottages of Ningle Terrace to see the range of imaginative and unusual handicrafts on offer in each of these artisans' homes. The little village of wooden houses in the woods provides a peaceful and almost magical setting for the art stalls, selling tiny handcrafted wooden figurines and homewares, paintings of figures and landscapes, and textiles. Take a rest in the onsite coffee shop and mull over which of the interesting artworks you fancy taking home with you. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Ningle Terrace by using our Furano holiday planner.

Where to stay in Furano

As a resort that attracts visitors regardless of the season, Furano has a range of accommodations to suit its popularity. The bulk of them lie to the west of the main train station. This particularly scenic area has an abundance of hotels and guesthouses, with some offering extensive views of the lavender fields, and all within easy reach of the slopes come ski time. Keep an eye out for those with onsite "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas that use hot spring water), offering a warming, relaxing experience after a day on the slopes or touring the lavender fields.
