Take your family into a fairytale world at Funabashi Andersen Park, an extensive park dedicated to famed children's storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. Kids will relish the various playgrounds, including a forest-based jungle gym, with various climbing, hanging, and swinging apparatus, and a 50 m (164 ft) slide, also found on the site. Take in a faithfully realized Danish landscape, replete with colorful flower gardens and an authentic looking windmill, then check out the petting zoo, where children can meet farm animals and take pony rides. Look out for the children's art museum, a building stocked with craft materials, where children can freely cut, stick, and create to their heart's content. Consider bringing a picnic along with you to enjoy on the various open and green spaces found throughout the park. Funabashi Andersen Park reviews
I took my 3 kids here today. From our place it is quite far. We took a train and bus. Since it is our first time to go to this place, I don’t know much about the place. The kids were having fun... more »
They’ve got everything. From waterplay to a very tall and long slide. Pretty flowers all around the park. My kids love to go here!! more »
Although you need to prepare the car to reach here. But it's reasonable and there's many activity,so you could spend whole day here. And especially cherry blossom season is the best timing when you'd.... more »
A great and beautiful place where you can bring both your parents and children to enjoy. The only downside is that its quite a distance from the nearest train station. Bring your own picnic baskets as no muslim friendly restaurants/cafe are available.
I could have a good time with family. kids fan to long slider, and gim units. if visit to here, you must have seat, tent are. for easily make base.
A bit far from the Shinjuku, However Nice Place to go with Kids.
We went when the cherries we're in full bloom and it was AMAZING! It was so beautiful, and the layout is great. There are tons of activities for kids, families, couple's, or even if you wanted to go alone. There is a forest hike, there are several adventure playgrounds for kids and adults, there is a huge fountain pool for kids to play in, and also an activity area to learn about how to manipulate water. There were ponies and a petting zoo. There are a bunch of restaurants all over the park, including the one where we went where I had lamb BBQ and beer, which was okay, and not expensive. There is an actual windmill. There is a lake with boats! Apparently there is a place to make stuff like artwork, but I didn't see it... The place is huge!! You should get there early so that you have the whole day to enjoy it. The entrance fee was less than ¥1000 per adult, which is reasonable considering the grounds. Parking was not free. I am pretty sure that if the city were not managing the park, it would have gone under a while ago, because the prices are reasonable throughout.
Love this place lots of fun for kids just make sure get there early morning to be able score the car park otherwise you will spend few hours in the line
