Funabashi Andersen Park, Funabashi

4.2
Take your family into a fairytale world at Funabashi Andersen Park, an extensive park dedicated to famed children's storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. Kids will relish the various playgrounds, including a forest-based jungle gym, with various climbing, hanging, and swinging apparatus, and a 50 m (164 ft) slide, also found on the site. Take in a faithfully realized Danish landscape, replete with colorful flower gardens and an authentic looking windmill, then check out the petting zoo, where children can meet farm animals and take pony rides. Look out for the children's art museum, a building stocked with craft materials, where children can freely cut, stick, and create to their heart's content. Consider bringing a picnic along with you to enjoy on the various open and green spaces found throughout the park. • In the first half of the GW first visited with friends family. Apart from poor transit train and bus access, anyway can't enjoy the Park in one day. Attractions and dining at reasonable prices enjoyed adult is satisfied, the dyed handmade key ring experience, is recommended. I think any camp in the car or camping even more awesome.

  • We went when the cherries we're in full bloom and it was AMAZING! It was so beautiful, and the layout is great. There are tons of activities for kids, families, couple's, or even if you wanted to go alone. There is a forest hike, there are several adventure playgrounds for kids and adults, there is a huge fountain pool for kids to play in, and also an activity area to learn about how to manipulate water. There were ponies and a petting zoo. There are a bunch of restaurants all over the park, including the one where we went where I had lamb BBQ and beer, which was okay, and not expensive. There is an actual windmill. There is a lake with boats! Apparently there is a place to make stuff like artwork, but I didn't see it... The place is huge!! You should get there early so that you have the whole day to enjoy it. The entrance fee was less than ¥1000 per adult, which is reasonable considering the grounds. Parking was not free. I am pretty sure that if the city were not managing the park, it would have gone under a while ago, because the prices are reasonable throughout.
  • It's very convenient living nearby and the 3000yen adults, 500yen kids yearly pass is worth buying. There are a number of different zones: summer water park, long roller slide, lots of woodland assault/athletic courses, hill slide, animal farm, boat lake, small kid area and nature walks. Food isn't anything special, Vietnam bento a nice surprise. But on the south side of the bridge there are nice gardens to picnic.
  • Great park, no direct connectivity with public transport however can be accessed through train + bus + 10-15 minutes walk.
  • Really a good place for the kids to play here, highly recommended.
  • Great place to visit with the kids. Place was very busy when we went on the weekend. There is a restaurant called merhen which was a 45min wait for basic food. Suggest bringing your own food and a leisure sheet
