Amazingly intricate displays you can walk through. A lot of interesting information about the settlement of the area (no English).
This museum houses and exhibits historical objects excavated or under the jurisdiction of Hiroshima Prefecture along with the Fudoki Hill of Miyoshi City. There is a permanent exhibition on the second floor that reveals the history of Hiroshima Prefecture (Aki bigo two countries) while comprehensively introducing the relics of various parts of the prefecture in chronological order. Among them, relics from the medieval river port excavated from the Kusato Senkencho ruins downstream of the Shibata River are of high value. Based on the results of the research, the exhibition that reproduces the lives of the middle-time people living in villages near the river port seems to be the best in Japan in terms of content and scale. In addition, it is also valuable that the collection of Mr. Moriya, a businessman from Fukuyama and an old map collector, has been deposited. There are detailed maps of eastern Japan, which led to Tadataka Ino catching the eye of the Shogunate and ordering the production of a map of japan, and the oldest line-up map with a very good condition. It is open to the public on a regular basis alternately with the hill of Fudoki. If the Komatsu Collection (Depositary of the Fukuyama Museum of Art), a collection of swords, is exhibited at the Fukuyama Museum of Art next door, the Moriya Collection is open to the public at the same time, and those who like history and ancient art are lucky.
The restoration of the Kusado Senken ruins in the textbook is wonderful. The location is good and the surrounding area is full of cultural facilities.
It is close to the station and can be used to go around the Fukuyama Museum of Art and Fukuyama Castle. The Kusato Senken Museum on the second floor is also interesting.
It is good that the exhibitism is easy to understand.
