Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.

  • An experience of local fish market although the place is small.
  • Came here for a location scout, really nice spot with plenty of fresh fish and smiley people. Lovely.
  • Very local place. Lovely food with reasonable prices
  • Easy to get there and the price are good, but the market is small.
  • It is a small market but if you are in the area and need fresh meat, seafood, or produce then this would be a good stop.
