  • I went free, but have a small, was a little disappointing. Children can enjoy it. Elementary school students in China and came I went on a weekday, in the scenic route? I thought.

  • Free Museum on the first floor of the supermarket. Very interesting and unusual. This merit the detour if you go to the beach. Very friendly staff and free admission!

  • So only because you are in Japan doesn't mean that all stuff related to robots will be awesome. This is a small museum, and some toy shops may actually be more interesting. Stop by on the way, if you ...  more »

  • The place is not big, yet still worth to visit. The staff are so welcome and helpful for foreigner. After going to Fukuoka Tower and Momochi beach, dont forget to stop over in this place, esp for your first-time visit. Kids love robot more than adult, so do bring your kids to experience robot world here
  • The place is small, not big as I imagined. But there were many types of robot that one can be amazed of. There were aibo (dog robot) dance at certain hour (every hour I guess). For a fan of robot, or fans of Japanese advancement in technology, this place is recommended
  • I love how they make this museum so interactive. Staff can speak English and can answer your questions even show off the robots they have.
  • Fun place for a 20 minute diversion. Maybe longer if you have kids. Really friendly staff that speak English and want to show you the robots inside. Fun to interact with and worth checking out when you're in the area.
  • Lovely place with lots of different robots. Some are more interesting and can be interacted with, others are just for presentation. The staff is really helpful. They also have demonstrations a couple of times per day.

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
