  • Was originally a beautiful previously renewed, so had become more beautiful! Many different fish, watch, is fun. It's just public transport difficult and hard to think.

  • Nice presentation overall, but not enough English to make it very tourist friendly. The turtles exhibit is a total shame, way too small for the number of animals in it! The otters are really cute and my daughter loved them. A bit far out of town but the huge park nearby makes it a worthwhile day trip.
  • Love the view of Dolphin's show by the sea. My fav creature is Sea Otter and deep ocean jelly fish. The whold area comparative small (smaller than SeaWorld in San Diego) and there is no entertainment park here. However, it's close to Uminonakamichi Park where you can bike around and enjoy the scenery.
  • Great excursion and a huge variety of tanks with different species of fish etc. The dolphin shows were superb as well! The fish tanks are also all labelled in English which was great but offered no other English descriptions. It gets extremely extremely busy so try to go off peak times like an early start or late afternoon session. Restaurant also has massive ques so don't visit on an empty stomach.
  • nice to see many fishes and there were frequest events. it is good for kids and even adults are enjoyable.
  • Food court in the basement floor is impressive for a place in the middle of nowhere. Outside of the building looks like a refurbished Olympic venue. Areas are marked out in a specific order, but some special feeding events draw crowds that leave some areas (even wheelchair accessible) inaccessible because of the sheer amount of people.

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
