  • I can't say I'm a fan of the park. I pass through it nearly every day and it's just concrete and more concrete. The park was completely redone a year or two back and much to my disappointment, there w...  more »
  • The temple was built in 1601 shrine. The shrine in Hakata is so many things to pray for the repression of the former rebellion, safely survived after their daimyo (Kuroda clan) was transferred to the Tenjin Chuo. In the middle of the downtown area, the shrine as a "power spot". Because it says "Eigo" read, read the "quickness" and notice things.

  • A park in middle of the the Tenjin City. Good as a meeting spot, but not for relaxing or any park like activities likely that. I really like the little shrine they have next to this park.
  • good and lively place to chill once you're done with exploring Fukuoka. It wouldn't take very long to do that anyway!
  • it's sad to come here at lunch time. many young Japanese just sit here and have a lunch with some peace of bread or lunchbox from convenience store most of them looks lonely
  • This a nice green space in the busiest area of Tenjin, centre of Fukuoka. You can enjoy different types of events around the year. All kind of stations are adnacent. Good for meeting new people. Not only the statios, you can meet your every need close around this place. I liked it...
  • Great meeting place, centre of Tenjin, nice to hang out there in the spring.

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
