  • The Fukuoka airport is small, but there are also shops to kill time, and it is also possible to watch different aircraft flying from the observation room of the Fukuoka airport terminal, and the children are very happy to be able to pass the time in the check in and after meals.

  • Since the airport is now undergoing a little narrow. You can also watch airplanes from nearby is accessible only by stairs, so be a little inconvenient.

  • this terminal is modern and very efficient, but if you have an early morning flight remember that the terminal is totally closed until 05.30 am and the check in does not start before 06.00 am  more »

  • Airport for domestic connection. Shuttle bya is free and available to connection to Fukuoka International Airport. Very convinient with subway to Hakata, there you can ride the JR to any there in Japan.
  • Daiichi Tamaya Sushi restaurant on 3F serves some of the best sushi I've tested anywhere.
  • There’s convince store inside the airport and there is some restaurant. the display and the workers are good and helpful
  • Interesting Airport. In the three years that I have been living in japan and using this as my main airport of travel I do not believe I have seen it once without have construction work being done. It is small and easy to navigate. Food on the third floor with some cafes on the first floor. If you are traveling through the airport though you only have a few snack/cafe options at the present time.
  • Clean, efficient and delighted with the willingness of airport staff to help a gaijin.

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
