  • A well run, easy to navigate domestic airport which serves all the domestic routes. The International Airport is a short / free coach ride away. Very convenient and easy.  more »
  • The Fukuoka Airport is small, but the people seem to be few, and it takes time. But one can buy tax-free goods, only a few shops, very close to not go very far, there are 5% discount, not a lot of species, but just have my love of the bag, so buy very happy

  • Always when in use. Arrive within tens of minutes to Hakata and Tenjin is a big benefit. I think it's unusual airfield located in this town is probably looking for the world. We will use.

  • Fukuoka Airport is a Gem, mostly due to the close vicinity to the city itself. Easy access to Hakata via subway(
  • I arrived about 2 hours before my flight. The check in, screening and immigration processes were very quick. I had no problems getting through, and the immigration officer was nice. One downside is that there are hardly and places to eat within the departure lounge.
  • Worst japan airport ever. Waited 1.5 hours to clear the immigration inside a warm and stuffy waiting area. Way below standard!!!!!!
  • I have been disappointed here because none of the announcements are made in English. Be careful to don't lose your flight due to a change of the boarding gate.
  • unacceptable long queue for non-lagguage passenger, stupid to queue and wait even you don't have any check-in lagguage at all for lagguage security check

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
