ACROS Fukuoka Foundation, Fukuoka
(3.7/5 based on 130 reviews on the web)
Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the lush roof of ACROS Fukuoka Foundation, a pioneering green building boasting a 60 m (200 ft) high terraced roof with 76 species of plants and 1,500 trees. This international cultural center, which specializes in Asian cultural exchange, supports over 35,000 plants in total. Looking like a conventional office building with glass walls from its street entrance, the structure's green top blends seamlessly with a park behind it when viewed from above. Friendly staff at the information desk provide any help you may need, including directions to the restaurants in the basement and the subway station adjoining the building. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to ACROS Fukuoka Foundation and many more Fukuoka attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Fukuoka tourist route planner.

  • A pioneer in green building. Terrace green areas with trail from the bottom up, the sign across mountain standing at the entrance. No longer expands the Satoyama landscape, lush, natural trees on the terrace. You can feel, such as climbing or really short hike which climbs up to the top and go down.

  • And stationary on the ground floor there is a less commercial, it is is much more popular since it opened. Restaurant is located underground, but kinda corny. So when the Conference go to the upper floors are divided in East and West elevator requires confirmation in advance. Because not a lot of people, or underground but toilets are always clean. Brushing slowly, like.

  • I go regularly to Symphony Hall to listen to the concert. It is a shoe box-shaped Hall. Similar to Tokyo's Opera City Takemitsu Memorial's size and build. Takemitsu as well as back and forth on a chair so as not to an alternate line of sight somewhat difficult. I think Takemitsu too sounded little more than good sound. To use Shinkansen bullet train and plane after the concert is directly connected to subway Airport line, so is the location.

  • A little too conservative for my taste, which they will realize soon to be a detriment, but the building is impeccable. What would really make this place pop though is if the city farmed out the event organizing to a more culturally in-tune event company. It's too damn municipal!!! No risk, no thrill.
  • Green building. Big atrium. A lot of windows
  • Attend a meeting here, great place, but a little bit hot inside during the summer time.
  • The building is quite original. From the outside, you can go upstairs to the gardens (even if the view from upstairs is not exceptional). Inside you have the tourism office if you're looking for informations.
  • Beautiful shopping area!!!!
