ACROS Fukuoka Foundation, Fukuoka

3.5
#3 of 20 in Museums in Fukuoka
Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the lush roof of ACROS Fukuoka Foundation, a pioneering green building boasting a 60 m (200 ft) high terraced roof with 76 species of plants and 1,500 trees. This international cultural center, which specializes in Asian cultural exchange, supports over 35,000 plants in total. Looking like a conventional office building with glass walls from its street entrance, the structure's green top blends seamlessly with a park behind it when viewed from above. Friendly staff at the information desk provide any help you may need, including directions to the restaurants in the basement and the subway station adjoining the building. But your little rants are?. Getting anywhere in the Conference room, or the cigarette odor from the middle in fine design is in very good condition, clean with a question. But it is a nice green look.

It can climb stairs facing the Central Park Green. I heard that ever climbed, is good. Because it can be accessed directly from Tenjin subway station underpass, across Central Park at is useful during the event. Lotteria, Chinese food, and MK restaurant is located underground.

This building has been attracting my mind for years ago. Since I stumbled upon a website that described this building as Hanging Garden ACROS Fukuoka, i wanted to go there. The side facing stree is modern building like, but the side facing big field on the back, was "natural organic" side. with many trees. it's a harmony between living and unliving thing.

You can go to a rooftop observation platform by the outdoor stairs on the weekend & Holidays. The stairs have rich greenery. It's good for a walk.

Easy to access. I like the trees behind this building and MK restaurant down stairs.

The bikes we hired were the standard medium frame models with front basket. Brakes and chains were sadly neglected and in need of adjustment and lubrication. Longer seat pokes or larger frame models would be an improvement.

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
