Acros Fukuoka, Fukuoka

3.2
#3 of 29 in Museums in Fukuoka
Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the lush roof of Acros Fukuoka, a pioneering green building boasting a 60 m (200 ft) high terraced roof with 76 species of plants and 1,500 trees. This international cultural center, which specializes in Asian cultural exchange, supports over 35,000 plants in total. Looking like a conventional office building with glass walls from its street entrance, the structure's green top blends seamlessly with a park behind it when viewed from above. Friendly staff at the information desk provide any help you may need, including directions to the restaurants in the basement and the subway station adjoining the building. • Tenjin Central Park, around one side of the exterior walls was terraced landscaping with trees. He climbs up the stairs are installed between the top portion can go. Except for that side of the outer wall of the building on three sides is a common form of showing the rest of the landscape and you've got a very special feeling. In a recent visit to see a somewhat cold weather couldn't new between wood in the previous visits Sparrow-sized birds can see downtown construction will be presented by eco-friendly orientation of the same meaning.

  • Roof step garden is famous. Climbs down the outside stairs to the roof. No elevator and the top until I have to climb stairs, so very tired. I went on a weekday, the top has not been released only on weekends, but did not. But good views from the top.

  • In the old commercial and contains all sorts of facilities. From food sales, including clothing shops, local, restaurants and cafes, travel agencies, and Tenjin slightly away from the concert hall that so many people would not ease of use is not too bad.

Where to stay in Fukuoka

As the largest city on the island, a hub of commerce, transport, and tourism, and a base for exploration of the wider region, Fukuoka offers plenty of accommodations to choose from. The most established hotels lie in Chuo Ward, the district closest to the port and on the western bank of the Naka River. Standard and luxury options abound in the this area and surrounding districts, offering a range of additional facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Budget-conscious travelers will be pleased to find hostels and guesthouses throughout the city, but again, primarily in this central area.
