Enoshima Shrine, Fujisawa

(3.9/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
A complex of three temples dedicated the goddess of knowledge, Enoshima Shrine dates back to the 5th century and remains one of the area's major Shinto sites. You'll have to climb steep stairs to reach the shrines, so wearing comfortable shoes is advised. The view from the top makes the uphill trek worthwhile--take a moment to soak in the views of the sea and contemplate the long history of this sacred place. • Enoshima in hetsuno okutsu shrine and Nakatsu shrine, divided in three places. Down the road with gradient until okutsunomiya Miya shrine and Nakatsu shrine is near the entrance of the island and became a pretty good workout.
