Shiraito Falls, Fujinomiya

4.3
Gushing out of the foothills of Mount Fuji, and now part of the Fujisan Cultural Site World Heritage List, Shiraito Falls once gave rise to the Fuji cult. White silky streams of the 20 m (65 ft) high and 150 m (492 ft) wide cascade pour into a large pond surrounded by lush greenery. You will arrive at the falls from the top and see some food stalls, but you should also take a short hike to admire the cascade from the bottom. If you're lucky, you'll even see a rainbow. The falls are a 30-minute bus ride from Fujinomiya station, and also offer parking facilities. Absolutely breathtaking gorgeous. The trip there is time.consuming but this just means it's not over crowded. Highly highly recommended

Really amazing set of waterfalls, this is actually the widest waterfall in all of Japan. The water has all flowed through Mt Fuji and comes out beneath the lava here, because of that the water volume is always constant. On a clear day you can see Mt Fuji and the falls, even on a cloudy or rainy day I'd recommend coming too.

Loved this place! Bussing was annoying since it comes every hour or longer than that. However, the place itself is wonderful!
