Lake Tanuki is a lake near Mount Fuji, Japan. It is located in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.HistoryOriginally a swampy area, the lake was created in 1935 by diverting the waters of nearby Shiba River to create a reservoir for use in irrigation. The lake is now a popular vacation location, with camp sites, fishing, boating and is noted for its views of Mount Fuji.

  • Campsites and holiday villages, fishermen are many from early in the morning. Fortunately Mt. Fuji is seen, shower or photographer. Best early in the morning and take a walk.

  • An artificial lake. Five natural lakes in the vicinity of Mount Fuji with very small, but there is no more or less a tacky little show in front of Mt as I think a very outstanding scenery. More than anything, aka "diamond Fuji, ' this is a disservice to the sunset around each August to the Summit of Mt. Fuji, deliberately running.
