  • Both the Park and the Museum was free. Pit dwellings of Jomon period are on display. And lots of dwelling, is big village trail and Park. I was surprised and Jomon era was the coastline here.

  • Is preferred mizuhodai station of Tojo is in the Tobu bus from the Shiki station East exit bus nanbatashinden, lower bound, fujimi high school bound, or "et et lalaport fujimi went" of one bus is Shell Mound Park bus stop about 10 minutes. Bus is four per hour around there. Also if the car parking. In the Jomon period and entered Tokyo Bay area, located just on the border of the Musashino plateau. I think the Jomon ruins will be near the most heavily developed here. Has become a nationally designated historic site. And even some pit-House restored in the large park, free exhibition hall and Museum, and mounds and mounds of exhibits of pottery, excavated when has been reproduced.

  • Park and historical site: great place to play with kids and has dedicated parking. No cherry blossoms - the park is preserving Jomon period flora only so better to come in autumn to see the leaves change color, or winter when one of the guides informed me flowers bloom. The free culture center has explanations of how Jomon period inhabitants used the area, including pit houses, burials and use of shells. The park is just across the road from Daio-ji Temple so fun to pop over there for a visit, too.
  • Staff, good parking, but I want to play.
