Oishi Park, Fujikawaguchiko-machi

4.2
#2 of 22 in Parks in Fujikawaguchiko-machi
Admire awesome views over the lake to Mt. Fuji from Oishi Park. Take an easy stroll along the "flower road," inspecting the carefully arranged plants, and sit for a spell to admire the iconic, symmetrical aspect of the huge volcano, the highest peak in the country. Bring along your camera to capture this picturesque natural arrangement, and afterwards pop into the gift shop selling souvenirs and local produce. • I bought the red and green line ticket, and in order to get here you need to take the red line bus. Oishi Park is stop #22. There is a souvenir shop and a cafe.  more »
  • Oishi Park is last stop for Kawaguchiko Bus. Go there before 11am so you can take pictures of Mount Fuji without any shadows. It is free to enter. There are ice cream shop and souvenirs to buy.  more »
  • The same applies to any point you may season the beautiful Mt well guess away beautiful plants and can hold together. Lake Zanjan is a magnificent on Mt. Hiei, sparkling with park view would have been awesome, and I'm also looking around the Café near the coffee cup and the rest of the top.

  • We visited on july 7th. There were lots of herbs to see but the peak season will be one or two weeks later. Free of charge. Various unique style souvenirs and beautiful scenery.
  • definitely a must visit if you're in the area. great spots to snap really good (far away) photos of Mt. Fuji
  • The shop is okay and does sell popular matcha ice cream. The number 1 draw is the stunning view of Mount Fuji, this is a particularly good spot for sunset
  • Lavender fields are lovely. Souvenirs are cheap and of amazing quality
  • This is the perfect kodak moment spot for photos with you love or family. A mock up of Mt.Fuji is placed perfectly aligned with Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko making your photo more uniquely fine. Many Festivals are held here, especially flower Festivals. I highly recommend stopping here for your picture perfect moment..

Where to stay in Fujikawaguchiko-machi

The lakeside resort town of Fujikawaguchiko-machi offers a great variety accommodations, reflective of the diverse reasons people have for visiting the town. Some simple guesthouses and hostels dot the more modest streets of the main urban areas, while more upmarket, resort-style hotels with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) are located close to the lake, or sit in privileged positions just out of town. Campsites and inns in the surrounding rural areas provide particularly good options for those just wanting to get up Mount Fuji.
