Categories: Hiking Trails, Lookouts, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities, Tourist Spots
Take a short ride to the summit of Mount Tenjo on Mt. Kachikachi Ropeway to enjoy the panoramic views from the top. The aerial lift, opened in 1959, takes you on a three-minute ride from the bank of Lake Kawaguchi to the mountaintop. From the cabin and the observation deck on the summit, you can take in extensive views of the lake below and the majestic, snow-capped Mount Fuji in the background. After enjoying the vista, you can opt for a 30-minute hike back down the mountain. Plan to visit Mt. Great way to enjoy the views over the lake and mount Fuji. 800 yen for a round trip ticket and 450 for one way.
Disappointed with this attraction. I felt the cash leaving me as if I had a near death out of body experience. Expensive rubbish.
Amazing view of Mt Fuji.the first week of April is a great time, nice weather, the time waiting for the Ropeway is worth it.
Access to a nice view of Mt Fuji. Go in the later part of the day to avoid the sun glare in photo shots
Take the rope way to the top for a great view of Mount Fuji and the surrounding area.
There will likely be a 30+ minute wait, but the view is worthwhile.
