  • 1/3 went to Fuji Subaru. "Up to 1合目 under the parking lot sales, and was finding any advance information. Fact 1 until now, roads without snow and frozen parts around. 1 at the moment in the parking staff was so "to shut down why? "I've heard the"closed so have frozen roads from short-sighted 3' and the answer was. I came to 上garezu, sorry. You want to visit again after the thaw. Aside from the toll 1 now to the parking lot and "Atsu" during get.

  • Passed in a Hato bus Fuji course. Typhoon 2 RAID was (next day gone), weather with sunny cars, smoothly and could go up to 5. Late October, so fall foliage season with outstanding views. Bus conductress, Typhoon because air is good, looks pretty clear. Summit also bound looked really beautiful. We have everything cannot go in the typhoon, and fuss, but go backwards in in excellent condition.

  • It is a good driving course. I am happy because the way they in good condition can go up Mount Fuji 5th station without too much difficulty. Toll road because with arbitrary image about 600 yen, I love how from 2,060 yen. Quite unexpectedly and was surprised that go up to the fifth, is satisfied. Room was mostly terrible. Light rain was back.

  • Nice place, too many tourists and people waiting for hiking. If you are social talk to anyone and have fun. Shops, restaurants and some nice things to look at. The view is nice (if its not cloudy).
  • very beautiful place to go. you can shop some japan`s Souvenirs and memorabilia . also you can eat and drink in this very beautiful place far from city`s rush. this place is very quiet and relaxing place. don`t miss ice-cream there. from this station you can go for climbing the fuji mountain.
  • 5th station is the final stop for vehicles. From here you get a very nice view of Mt Fuji (except bad weather days). Lots of tourists here. If you like hiking, starts from here to the mountain top. Many souvenir and eating places. Horse riding is available here.
  • The best tourist location exhibiting the Japanese discipline. Water used for flushing the toilet is totally recycled and there are no trash bins here. One should carry their trash back home. A very easy solution to a seemingly expensive challenge otherwise.
  • For climbers of Mount Fuji, this is the last place where you can find free washrooms, shops to buy water/food/oxygen/supplies at affordable prices, and restaurants with proper hot meals. There are also mountain maps, information boards, a police station, an indoor resting area, a bus stop (with local buses to Kawaguchiko and highway buses to Tokyo and other cities), and a temple (with good views of the 5 lakes on a clear day). Even if you don't intend to climb, the view of Mount Fuji and the 5 lakes is worth the trip up here. The weather is usually a few degrees lower than sea level, so bring a jacket. The weather can also change rapidly. You may see Mt Fuji clearly from Kawaguchiko but after a 1 hour bus ride uphill, the 5th station may be covered in fog. Be prepared to adjust your expectations.

Where to stay in Fujikawaguchiko-machi

The lakeside resort town of Fujikawaguchiko-machi offers a great variety accommodations, reflective of the diverse reasons people have for visiting the town. Some simple guesthouses and hostels dot the more modest streets of the main urban areas, while more upmarket, resort-style hotels with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) are located close to the lake, or sit in privileged positions just out of town. Campsites and inns in the surrounding rural areas provide particularly good options for those just wanting to get up Mount Fuji.
