Cape Erimo, Erimo-cho

3.9
#60 of 444 in Parks in Hokkaido
On the blustery Cape Erimo, the wind blows at an average of 36 kph (22.4 mph), 290 days of the year. This gives the rugged landscape a striking and desolate appearance, making for great photo opportunities. Located where the Hidaka mountains finally descend into the ocean, you'll find the point's modest lighthouse, which stands at the top of towering cliffs. You'll also find a viewpoint at the end of a spine of land, which looks out over rocky outcrops in the ocean. Bring along your binoculars to observe gulls and seals basking on the rocks below. The cape also houses a wind museum, where you can discover weather data collected from around the world, and also experience what wind traveling at 145 kph (90 mph) feels like at a dedicated facility. • That is the farthest away from the train station (or the city) is not checked into the Cape. Public transportation if you train in the Hiroo from Obihiro, over 3 hours. From Tomakomai ' similar in train about 6 hours (JR Hidaka line Ukawa-like similar between will service bus is on the way for him). In addition to from Sapporo as alike of Urakawa, in front of bus can be). Collar bus stop at erimo-Misaki like pseudo-Hiroo bus stop one day 4-6 only. But as early in the morning and evening flights except up and down two. Realistic on a day trip from Tomakomai, if day full day required from Obihiro is possible. Cape is nice with a magnificent view. Until the tip of the Cape is the Boardwalk. From the stairs, it's hard, but since you came recommended. In the Hall of wind wind experience and fun. Of course, religion in there is also a monument of Cape erimo's lyrics. Certainly erimo's no spring is spring!

  • Southern Hokkaido is as a scenic spot of Hidaka's familiar Cape erimo. Attention is necessary because walks from the parking lot maintained Cape until here, but here is a good distance, where it surpasses the wind during high winds. May forced an unexpected time loss since going at it in the root until far down, that way long climb will travel in a hurry is a "collar Cape erimo" of I think it's wise Observatory sign was installed to the 引ki返a.

  • According to records was in 2009. During his tenure was almost explored the coast of Hokkaido, Urakawa-erimo-Hiroo-nemuro-, unexplored by the shibetsu in nemuro friends had made was for the first time. Fishery production has increased because the first impression is of something strong and planted a tree and write openly, and was proudly. Recently come has become a base for the photo shoot. Too like in photography, everything here is impossible. Also affected the direction a good composition. Monument & Museum, Museum-style? Such as for buildings such as the Hall of wind? Is not so high. Product Center's product suite like a amateur tourists really out of the way. That recent North Korean missile go through this off, tinged with the limelight. Could become a meaningful strategic place.

  • Because nothing in the gas on three different, but according to the story of sister shop of 8% per year over has gas it is. (Lol) (Really? ) Collar Cape erimo Bulletin Board objects? The felt in place wonder reveals mixed warm winds and the cold wind blowing. It seems to be from where warm and cold water are mixed. And by gas are most likely to occur.
