Cape Erimo, Erimo-cho

(3.9/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
On the blustery Cape Erimo, the wind blows at an average of 36 kph (22.4 mph), 290 days of the year. This gives the rugged landscape a striking and desolate appearance, making for great photo opportunities. Located where the Hidaka mountains finally descend into the ocean, you'll find the point's modest lighthouse, which stands at the top of towering cliffs. You'll also find a viewpoint at the end of a spine of land, which looks out over rocky outcrops in the ocean. Bring along your binoculars to observe gulls and seals basking on the rocks below. The cape also houses a wind museum, where you can discover weather data collected from around the world, and also experience what wind traveling at 145 kph (90 mph) feels like at a dedicated facility. • From Tokachi-Obihiro airport ran about 2 hours by car. As we walked from the parking lot collar issues where there is a sign of Cape erimo. Therefore prima facie views are found, further go to Boardwalk and get Cape. The beautiful reef series of mountains of the North and South from there. In addition, where dry kelp with pebble-lined Office is. And life is funny. You couldn't see sea lions they say that. There is need to pay their own binoculars or in binoculars. It is good to windproof clothing because the wind was strong.

  • Is visited by public transport (bus), but quite far away. Spread out in drizzling cold even in summer, and strong winds, but it seems Cape landscape. And souvenir shop, Shinichi Mori and chiyoko shimakura's song "collar Cape erimo" rests with alternating.
