  • I recommend you to go early in the morning and try a fresh red tuna sushi. The fish is so fresh that it would be a pity missing this fish market.  more »

  • Fresh fish market without the fish smell. Fresh sushi. Fresh seafood such as squid, tuna, salmon, and even king crab n lobster. Plenty of variety exotic delicious foods to try out. And it is not far from the Tsukiji Station. With 2 or more information center on Tsukiji Market Area.
  • This place is a must for visiting Japan! You get to see some of the market activities like the tuna auction, and there are a ton of foods to eat in the outer market that serve the freshest seafood you can get. There are restaurants you can dine in, but also a lot of street vendors serving all kinds of delicious foods! I would come here anytime I go to Tokyo.
  • This review is for the neighboring shops, the fish market was closed on the day we went because it was a national holiday. The market around the big market is great. So many eating options - need to have sushi for breakfast! The fish is so fresh and it's hard to decide where to eat
  • Vast and vibrant hard to find after the closest tube go through the vast open markets selling food bearing left but try to go diagonally when the shops start petering out the fish market should appear it is absolutely enormous so you can't miss it. We got there around 12.00 and missed all the action so do go early. Enjoy.
  • You have to do some research to find the real local spots, and even then, most any restaurant in tokyo gets its fish from here but unlike these stalls they do a better job preparing it. So I'd say it's only worth the trip if you've never walked around a large market in Asia before.
