Kachidoki Bridge, Chuo

(3.5/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Take a walk across Kachidoki Bridge, the first and only drawbridge across the Sumida River. Built in 1940 to commemorate the country's victory in the battle of Lushun, the double-leaf, counterweighted construction opened for the last time in 1970. Today, you can walk across, traveling between Tsukiji and Tsukishima. Consider stopping into the adjacent museum dedicated to the bridge, featuring artifacts and footage of its operation. At night, the illuminated bridge makes an attractive sight. • This is recommended at night. I think security is not bad. At least, I did feel a little frightened. Back to Ginza and walk around the Central and Tokyo Tower is shining on the right side. And view fragile colors of the sky and turn to the left. It is good to take pictures. Of course drinking in Ginza to the middle of the night, at dawn near the Vista at night on this bridge, eat sushi in Tsukiji as well for adults and fun?

  • Good view of the city next to the Tsukiji market. The views are enjoyed even more at night. Recommended if you are in the area

  • Kachidoki bridge is on the bridge over the Sumida River. It is extant in Japan one of the few movable bridges (bascule bridge). For this reason, in the middle of the bridge, cracks. Stopped power now and raising the bridge for costly rework. Is a situation some day, when you want restarts.
