  • It is hard to stop by Itoya and not buy anything. I dropped by early in my trip to Tokyo but didn't have time to linger. They do handle the taxfree rebate if you purchase Y5,000 worth of products. I h...  more »

  • It's a stationary-phile's paradise. Itoya is actually housed across 2 buildings, but we were only able to visit this one due to time constraints. This one building, though, did not disappoint. Upon arrival, you're met with 6 floors of curated goodies residing inside a beautiful contemporary glass building that was completely renovated in 2015. The space itself feels clean, organized, and open. Fellow type A personalities will likely feel right at home. Their offerings are organized by floor, with each one representing a particular category from travel to crafts along with an entire floor dedicated to paper. For people who enjoy exploring each individual find, you can easily spend a couple hours here and lose yourself in this elegant oasis. When we finally had to leave due to our schedule, we grabbed a sparkling juice drink to go from the juice bar on the ground floor, which was delicious and refreshing. A great way to cap off a wonderful shopping experience and highly recommended.
  • This is paradise for stationery lovers! There are 2 buildings in the same street, one of them has 7 levels and the other one 4 or 5. They have an entire floor dedicated to letter sets and an entire floor dedicated to expensive nice pens! They also have the widest range of cute erasers!!
  • This place is magical. This building has 12 floors I believe - mostly dedicated to cute knick knacks, home decor, etc. They do have stationery - especially agendas - but if you're truly looking for the stationery store, you're looking for K.Itoya, which is located right behind G.Itoya. Luckily you can walk right through to find it.
  • Amazing. 9 floors of stationery. What could be better? Superb quality, from medium range to extremely high. Loads of papers, stamps, and postcards, as well as travel and home sections. Cafe is overpriced, but still a great place to stop by for all your stationery needs and desires.
  • Very neat store that's fun to walk through even if you don't buy anything. The floors are separated by hobby, i.e. watches, pens, stationary, etc, and each floor is a totally different experience. The paper floors were my favorite and there is some seriously beautifully curated, quality stuff here.

Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi.
