  • Fuji is beautiful but going there can be expensive if you travel via train. Because our budget was limited, we took the bus from shibuya station. Travel time is about 2 hours per way. Price? Just 1800...  more »
  • The atmosphere was not very good Sunday ago, so when the Shinjuku started, the bus began to see Mt. Fuji along the road, getting closer from the small change! The mood is very excited!

  • I climbed Fuji in August entirely on my own. Took subways and buses to trailhead and just started up one evening about 1800. Lots of other hikers, school kids love to practice English as they walk. We...  more »

  • Hiking Mt. Fuji for Sunrise One of Japan’s iconic landmarks, Mt. Fuji is visible in the distant horizon from Tokyo. In fact, Tokyo Tower offers a brilliant vantage point for watching the sunset over the mountain. It is easily accessible from the city either by bus or train. The mountain is 12,388 feet and takes on average 6 and a half hours to hike up. The official hiking season is from the beginning of July to mid-September when it closes due to cold weather and snowy conditions, but even during the summer the temperature drops quickly so warming layers are definitely needed. Regardless of the weather, this is a fun and easy hike with some of the most rewarding views of Japan.
  • Spectacular view from all angles of Mount Fuji! It has to be on the to do list if you are anywhere in Japan! We were there just before snow season but still gave us incredible views! A great experience! Bus tours are probably the vest way to go. *South Melbourne's #1 International Reviewer for Trip Advisor Australia *
  • Totally breath taking . Worth to start climbing very early morning. Amazing views, great experience. To climb the top - most recommended to visit before 1st of Nov.
  • Just full day climb to the summit. Avoiding crowds was great and recommend for anyone. I didn’t train for the climb and was massively unfit and carrying a few extra pounds but managed the climb.
  • Hiking Mount Fuji was an unforgettable experience. Tough on my lungs, really cold at the top, but beautiful views of the valley and ocean. And a beautiful feeling to be on top of a sacred mountain.
