  • Nicely organised and rich collection of Japanese modern art.
  • I loved the idea of having a room just for the highlights, but I don't like all the works are explained but some of the masterpieces so you feel obligated to buy the auidoguide.
  • Permanent collection - waste of time. Small and sad. But we enjoyed National museum of Western Art in Ueno Park.Permanent collection is not big, but good + Caravaggio now.
  • It has a few really beautiful pieces but its rather small. The bookshop is quite small too. Located in front of a park it has really nice views from its resting areas.
  • A middling permanent collection with a few stand out pieces, rather small for a national MOMA, but definitely worth a visit, and the location is unbeatable. Visitors are actually encouraged to take photos which is refreshing. Dining options are fairly limited.
