  • The Oteman Gate is the most common way to enter the East Garden of the Imperial Palace (closed on some days). It is opposite the Palace Hotel in Marunouchi and if in Tokyo the garden and the gate is w...  more »
  • Excellent, seems as seen by foreign tourists, so Japan seems to be, is a very photogenic gate. You can ask the coexistence of history seems to be opposed to high buildings around Tokyo and ultra modern.

  • Was at the main gate of Edo Castle in Imperial Palace Hotel attempted to be positioned and main gate. Access from the Otemachi station C13, 5 minutes from double Bridge station in about 10 minutes get. Good Annals (outemonn) and the origin of the gate is said to derive from the line of defense was built strictly for defense. And now, or from a major gate how to conquer the East gardens of the Imperial Palace!

  • This is the main entrance to get into the imperial gardens. There is a cursory check of bags you bring in, so please don't have your luggage with you. Admission is free, and the grounds are well maintained year round. Even if the flowers are not in season, it's still worth a visit to look at the stone walls, towers, and otherwise marvel at the neatness of the entire complex.
  • Shachi gate Swan comes close to good luck crossing the moat bridge looks Tokyo Tower on the left and on the left there are spectacular

  • Here is the origin of the name of Otemachi in a major gate at one entrance of the East gardens of the Imperial Palace. I think good repair done is increasingly narrow because it is now a little under repair. See small holes were shooting guns used on the walls of the rim once in the gate. Know that because while in another wall is made to double. Bicycles, pets, wears are not allowed.
