Kanda Myojin, Chiyoda

4.2
A thousand-year-old Shinto site, Kanda Myojin has become the unlikely hub for pleasing the gods of technology and business acumen. A sort of mecca for technology enthusiasts, the shrine sells small talismans for safeguarding electronic devices from various harms. Ornately decorated and with a bright traditional exterior, the shrine sits within one of the most expensive areas in Tokyo. • Kanda Myojin Akihabara Station and Ochanomizu-located good access, a 5-minute walk from the station. Matchmaking SAMA, Ebisu's thriving business, excluding disaster except masakado as of 3 pillars your deities are enshrined. There were 753 visitors have been, or wedding ceremony during the visit I. At the turn of the year, many companies have offered a prayer for prosperity.

  • From the sacred grounds of the subculture of Akihabara total on the Sobu line local train station, tea-and can be reached in just a few minutes walk from the station. It is widely revered shrine as Edo commoners in Edo Bakufu shrine. Close to Akihabara, anime amulet, EMA and nokyo-sho book, even include IT for protection. This is the place to visit if you're Anime fans.

  • Amesome, peaceful shrine. Was very quiet not a lot of people. My son picked up his first goshuin-cho there.
  • Peaceful shrine. You see people walking by and spending a few seconds bending to pray. Very close to akihabara. Worth visiting.
  • What a great little temple within walking distance of Akihabara. Famous in Tokyo for blessings provided to businesses/companies for a prosperous year. Naturally being so close to "Electric Town", there are a few good luck trinkets that are very IT specific and I have never seen in any other temple I have visited. Definitely worth the 7000 yen to get a blessing from inside the temple, an experience I will never forget. If you do it though, it is a little hard to understand because of the way everything is sung - try to listen out for your name. Very crowded around new year, expect at least a one hour wait to get in.
  • This shrine is very famous but many tourists miss is. You should visit if you go to Akihabara. The shrine is very old and very beautiful and serene.
  • I love these types of places because of the artwork and the background behind it. When I went it was partly under construction, but it's still amazing :)

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
