Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.

  • It was possible to experience a topical cat cafe in Japan. The cats are very cute. The shop assistant is gentle, too and I'd like, I grew up.  more »
  • Amazing place, not really a cafe as I expected but more someone's house which is full of cats. Pricing has changed - now 1000 for an hour and 500 per half hour after that. Drinks extra but affordable....  more »
  • This cat café is every cat lover's dream. You'll find lovely felines you can pet, feed, do photo opps and just chill with to your heart's delight. Just remember not to feed the cats with scarves aroun...  more »

  • Cozy and cheap cat cafe near the Don Quixote in Akihabara. The place is larger than I expected, with plenty of cats that are really friendly. If you're looking to get the cats' attention, order a coffee and try to open the milk or sugar!
  • The cat cafe where it's here as I entered out of 1 from a Main Street. The cats were very cute and the shop assistant was kind, too. Time done slowly has passed. There is "rabbit cafe" on the 2nd floor.
  • Cats were rather sleepy when I arrived. They didn't seem to want to be pet much but no hissing or scratching, so that's a plus. Owners are nice. Price is a little steep imo but this is the only cat cafe I've been to. (1000 yen for first hour)
  • This cat cafe is more of a 2 story apartment that happens to have cats. The cats look well fed and cared for so that's a plus. It's 1200 for holidays and weekends for an hour, not including drinks, so I found that to be a little overpriced. It has a nice atmosphere but the cats seem to laze about until they have treats.
  • Cute place with multiple rooms. The upstairs rooms are very cute but the cats probably stay downstairs because that's where the treats are from. The cats generally seem to hide until someone buys some treats and then you're mobbed by cats. Not sure how this compares to other places since we haven't been to any others and we picked it because it looked nice in the pics and was the closest
