  • Depending on who you talk to it is either a castle or a fort, but still very interesting to visit. We were staying in the onsen town of Togura so it was fairly close, but with a walk up a fairly steep...  more »
  • Japanese Castles fascinate me. Especially original castles. Arato is not a original castle. The reason why it was on my itinery because it is different from the normal Japanese castle. Firstly, it is ...  more »
  • At that time the castle itself is not mountain Castle in the warring States period to have been reproduced. Giving the situation at the time of the battle of heijo-Kyo like Matsumoto Castle, not a practical wild atmosphere. Great panorama from the highest Tower. It is recommended to go in good weather.

  • The best thing I like in the park is the watching tower on top of the hill. You get a great view of the city and the snow mountains.
  • This park is pretty small, and it's a bit of a trek from the station, but I can see this being a beautiful area in the Spring and Autumn months. There's also a viewing spot which gives stunning views of the surrounding area.
  • Park with an observation deck; commanding views of the town and mountains around it.
  • great park. nice view over the city.
  • Cherry-blossom season, shiroyama park entrance immediately shiroyama waist mounds near (Sanno mountains and open pine tomb) that is coming up the walk sign is recommended. Cherry has wood lane. Park is on the lawn, paved walking trail around so round up and walk. While loitering there, such as the Observatory. Overlooking the river is beautiful, I was impressed.
