Chiba Port Tower, Chiba
(3.5/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
The stark and slender Chiba Port Tower rises 125.1 m (410.4 ft) above Chiba Port, affording panoramic views over the city and the ocean. Built in 1986 to commemorate the region's population reaching 5 million, the building serves solely as an observational point, with deceptively few floors. On the ground floor you'll find a souvenir shop, from where you can take an elevator ride to the top three levels. At the tower's summit you'll find the main event, the view. Take in 360-degree vistas, with sunsets making great photo opportunities. Just below you'll find a cafe and refreshments, and a lower observation floor aimed at couples. Head to this floor with your sweetheart, and clip a symbolic, heart-shaped padlock onto the window grates. Chiba Port Tower is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Chiba Edition.

  • It is in Chiba City tourist attractions, go up to the tower and enjoy views of all night until morning. It is a good staff around in addition to Chiba port Park, so look up a beautiful Tower from below. From the observation room on the 4th floor in the sky of 113 meters above the ground, such as Mt. Fuji and Tokyo sky tree views. Is being said depending on the weather.... I think watching night meal at the restaurant, and while even on the 3rd floor is 109 m above the ground, the best thing for that. By the way, this tower is certified heritage night view in Japan.

  • The rain was visited, then almost weren't. It's pay goes up to the top of the tower. No sense goes up when the weather is bad. Never say can't stop from the parking lot is pretty wide, I think. (Unsure during high season)
