Chiba Port Tower, Chiba

3.5
#8 of 59 in Things to do in Chiba
The stark and slender Chiba Port Tower rises 125.1 m (410.4 ft) above Chiba Port, affording panoramic views over the city and the ocean. Built in 1986 to commemorate the region's population reaching 5 million, the building serves solely as an observational point, with deceptively few floors. On the ground floor you'll find a souvenir shop, from where you can take an elevator ride to the top three levels. At the tower's summit you'll find the main event, the view. Take in 360-degree vistas, with sunsets making great photo opportunities. Just below you'll find a cafe and refreshments, and a lower observation floor aimed at couples. Head to this floor with your sweetheart, and clip a symbolic, heart-shaped padlock onto the window grates. Chiba Port Tower is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Chiba Edition.

Almost notable stuff. Many people who visit the holiday can not from relatively simply enjoy the views. On the 3rd floor of the Tower (109 meters above ground level point) so you can enjoy a meal in the buffet-style, but is a general. So here the purpose and what is not in place is green belt but also because you have kids, you just for holiday family get-together at.

APA resort (旧幕 Makuhari Prince) loses at a height around tall buildings not so good views. I think if feels fit enjoying area and only the Tower rather than the coastal population and museums nearby, so, you can enjoy one day.

Should not come here in raining days

More 7/11/2017 only (at this time) during the red tide. Red tide is not cooled down because it was not raining. For this reason, the rotting carcass of a variety of creatures and bad odor. It disgusts me that person unaccustomed. Best avoided until the red tide.

Is very clean, the other day in a wheelchair was relieved by the kind response. Soft serve ice cream is on the first floor is the taste memories must be eaten. It is recommended to arrive early because that would do a lot more parking, but not Park on Saturday and.

The Chiba port Tower (1985) belongs to the popular tourist destination with the surrounding park. The steel Tower is 125 m high, a damper unit weighing 15 tons of special protects the building with backlash in the earthquake or wind storm. Wonderful all-round view over the whole Bay and the city. The Park is large and offers plenty of space for numerous leisure activities.

Where to stay in Chiba

The primary selection of accommodations in Chiba fans out from the city's central train station. In this tangle of streets you'll find good-quality, budget-friendly lodgings, including guesthouses and hostels. Expect more luxury by the water and where the streets get a little wider and newer, with grand hotels occupying commanding positions over the bay and along tree-lined boulevards. Alternatively, stay in Tokyo itself when exploring Chiba and the highlights of its prefecture.
