Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo Garden, Bunkyo

4.4
#16 of 254 in Parks in Tokyo
Meander through the pleasantly arranged paths of Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo Garden, a green oasis in the middle of town, offering a range of historical and natural sites. Named for its abundance of wild camellias, the traditional Japanese garden was created during the Meiji period, with Emperor Meiji himself said to have held a number of important meetings in the house that once stood on the grounds. Historical monuments from across the country have been placed throughout the garden, including a thousand-year-old pagoda, over 30 stone lanterns, and a wealth of Taoist and Buddhist images. • We had high expectations for our stay at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo which obviously should have on five-star hotels. There are over 200 rooms and our on 46 square meters overlooking the magically beautiful park where the oldest tree is over 500 years old. At the beginning of december, the trees of breathtaking colours. Yellow, red, pink, and as soon as the camellias that make up the Park and the hotel's name is still in bloom in early december. In the pond swimming big beautiful fish around and most seem to want to prove themselves. Today on Sunday was the 25th wedding while on site. The record is 40 weddings on the same day. Perhaps not so surprising that there are seven restaurants where you eat Japanese breakfast (we did day 1) in one of them and continental/American/healthy in another on a different floor. This is very long corridors with carpeted floors so it's very quiet everywhere. The lifts are extremely effective and comes within 30 seconds each time we press the button. Mats, I usually have a hard, but this is not a stain at all and the service level is for a Swedish almost well high with people everywhere who want guests to have a great experience. Day two inmundigade we called an American breakfast in my eyes was far more English than American. We are here to work on a small but global Congress in the meetings and events industry. On site 12 international conference cities and the whole arrangement breathe clean professionalism also from the hotel. Yesterday's dinner we took on site and were treated to a buffet that both were Asian with sushi of very high class, but also more Western-style dishes and fine European wines. The service is extremely high as it should be at a luxury hotel, but to us, it becomes almost a little too much bowing and bending, but at the same time, it is nice with good service as well. We have already started planning to stay here during the Olympics 2020 and check now if we can get some prizes will go to book now almost three years in advance. The room is one of the best I have stayed in a hotel somewhere in the world and in my work I live very often at great hotels around the world. View of the Park is seductive (see picture), the bed is hard and good, I would like to have at home. The toilet is such a modern toilet is now on broad fromnt in the Middle East. Hot seat early and a lot of bells and whistles that washing of derriere through keystroke, bidet for women and it's so nice to communicate with a toilet seat that it's hard to rip out. Why aren't all the toilet chairs in the world like this? Obvious keep soaps, shower gel, as well as shampoo. Towels are changed every day and feels completely new each time you come back to the room. The service is perfect with bedding, and amazing Japanese pyjamaser man may borrow. Of course, there are mineral water in the room that is free of charge and are replenished each day, as well as a modern coffee machine, teas, wines and everything else you can think of a mini bar. There is, of course, iron and ironing board. Well, not cheap but not more expensive than the corresponding hotels in Europe that are not luxury hotels. And in a country where you don't understand the language, it is very nice with lots of international news channels on TV's that are second-to-last sort. In short. It is on my short list of the 5 best hotels I have stayed at in my long life.

  • This is my 3rd stay. Stay outside in the restaurant often visited, so calm down relief. Service is not exaggerated, indeed! There was a lot I think. Both front desk and concierge staff of the Spa. Is Vista garden in the garden view rooms are a feast for the eyes. At chinzan-so is a hotel on a regular basis to weary one.

  • Myself and my friend had the most amazing time staying at Hotel Chinzanso. From the moment that we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff, throughout the stay they continued to impress us with their attention to detail and helpfulness. The hotel facilities were great, from the beautiful garden to the spa and a number of excellent restaurants. The hotel room had the most spectacular view of the garden and the room itself was beautifully decorated. Its one of the best hotel that I've ever stayed in and couldn't recommend it more.
  • Little old but amazing space, very gorgeous hotel. Beautiful gardens. Only issue is location isn't as convenient compared to other hotels in this price range.
  • very good! 宴会場利用。施設は清潔で細部まで行き届いています。提供される食事も美しく、美味しく満足度が高いです。特に今回頂いた、soupeポタージュデュバリー クルトン添えは、とても美味でした。
  • Excellent service. Big rooms by Tokyo standards. Beds a little hard. And for some unknown reason the cleaning staff wouldn't clean tea-cups/tea-pots if there was even a drop of liquid left; just left another one...

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
